We look at 15 items or less at a time. If you have a set of something, that counts as 1 item.

We only take items that are in season. For instance, winter items and Christmas Decor is accepted in October. We cannot take Christmas in the spring or summer. This year is a bit different due to COVID19, but typically we take spring in February, Summer in April, and fall in July. We notify you by email, FB and Instagram regarding our schedule that year. At this moment we are accepting fall items Aug.1, 2020.

Clothing should be on hangers for faster review, and less wrinkles. Clothing, decor and furniture should be clean and without odor. Clothing is accepted for style, no pilling, no stains, no odor, zippers working, buttons and belts present, no torn pockets.

When you arrive at our store for your appointment, bring your items to our consignment window area and sign in. One of our girls will greet you and explain the process to you as you fill in a contract. You can choose to wait for us to look through your items and pick up what we may not take, or you can drop them off allowing us to donate what we do not accept. You can certainly shop while you wait!

If you sent us a picture of your furniture and we approved it, we will set up an appointment for you to bring it in. Please be sure to bring help to unload your piece. We also have movers we can recommend if needed.

Submit a Furniture Request:

Email – Requests emailed to photos@evilenasreddresser.com will also be accepted. If necessary, you may bring photos into the store on a digital camera or as hard copies. Please call in advance to ensure that the proper personnel are available to review the request.

Evaluation
Please allow up to 5 days for us to review and respond to your consignment request. If your request is urgent, feel free to contact our store at 815-464-2668 to expedite your request.

We will review your request and photos to determine if we have a demand for those items from our customer base, in addition to when floor space will be available to accommodate your furniture.

Please note that our customer’s buying patterns dictate what we bring into the store on consignment.

Approval and Scheduling
Once your furniture is approved for consignment, we will provide you with a scheduled delivery date or delivery window.

Note that all furniture must have a preset appointment before being delivered to our store. If furniture is delivered without an appointment or pre-approval, it is subject to space availability and inspection.

You approved my furniture, how do I get it to your store?

We highly recommend that you use a professional mover to safely deliver your furniture and set up your items on our sales floor.

However, if you prefer to bring in the items yourself, the set up, assembly and placement of the furniture on the sales floor is your responsibility as the consignor. Remember to bring them in clean and ready to go on the showroom floor!

Due to insurance restrictions, we are unable to assist in unloading items from the car or moving them into the store. We always recommend bringing adequate help!

We are happy to help you make arrangements for pickup and delivery by a professional, bonded and insured moving company.
